Tom Ashford

Tom is the guitarist and primary composer of Glass Tides. His playing style combines shimmering delay-laden textures with precise melodic lines, creating the band's signature wall-of-sound guitar work.

A classically trained guitarist who fell in love with effects pedals, Tom's pedalboard is legendary among gear enthusiasts -- a sprawling 24-pedal setup that he calls "the spaceship." He builds custom effects pedals in his spare time and runs a small pedal company, Ashford Electronics.

Tom and Lena co-write most of the band's material, typically starting from Tom's instrumental compositions which Lena then shapes with vocal melodies and lyrics.
