Lena is the vocalist and lyricist of Glass Tides. Born in Stockholm and raised in Bristol, her voice -- a crystalline soprano that can shift from whispered intimacy to soaring power -- has become the band's most recognizable element.
Before forming Glass Tides, Lena studied literature at the University of Bristol and performed in the city's DIY music scene. Her lyrics draw heavily from poetry, particularly the work of Anne Carson and Ocean Vuong, blending personal narrative with abstract imagery.
Outside the band, Lena has collaborated with ambient producer Nils Frahm and contributed vocals to the soundtrack of A24 film The Drift.
